Description
Required for a long-term, remote contract, a Software Engineer to develop and deliver solutions that enable collecting, processing, and managing requirements from one or multiple sources, becoming the key link between requirements and solution.
This role focuses on designing the platform to build and manage the solution across the whole organization, building the platform infrastructure as a service on the latest cloud technologies.
Role:
- Work with cross-functional initiative and collaborate with product teams across the whole organization
- Requirement gathering from multiple sources across the organization
- Translate product strategy and requirements to a maintainable and scalable solution design according to architecture guard rails
- Identify, evaluate and recommend alternative design options which take target environment, performance security requirements and existing systems into account
- Build a solution that fulfills user and functional needs as well as functional, compliance and quality requirements with focus on customer and business outcomes
- Test and deploy software solutions, including automated testing, to verify solution quality
- Architecting and building a robust, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure on cloud services (eg Google Cloud Platform and Azure)
- Advocate a DevOps mind-set.
- Develop automation routines for infrastructure provisioning and releases
Experience:
- 5+ years' experience of software development and testing
- Ability to perform early analysis including positioning of capabilities in the system landscape as well as presenting alternative solution options and technical choices
- Ability to create database design and models used as part of the software solutions
- Ability to comprehend the different architectural viewpoints and identify and understand their dependencies
- Ability to design and build high-performing and secure software solutions according to the customer needs with given tools and languages
- Ability to apply leading software development practices and standards to develop robust and maintainable software
- Ability to test and deploy software solutions, including ability to design and build advanced automated 'build, test, and release' infrastructure
- Experienced in Cloud Engineering and Cloud Services (GCP, Azure, AWS)
- Expert in infrastructure as code & codification (eg, Terraform, Ansible)
- Expert in container orchestration & tooling (eg, Kubernetes)
- Experience in setting up scalable, service-oriented service
- Experience in agile methodologies and applying Dev(Sec)Ops and DataOps
- Fluent in English both written and verbal
