You will join a leading E-commerce brand experiencing unrivaled growth, supporting the creation of a new Data Platform you will join the team as lead Node and Typescript engineer.
Operating as a Node SME you will be tasked with developing a library that will used by the firm's core applications to produce and consume serialised events to/from Kafka topics.
The role will involve some pair programming and a key component will upskilling and coaching the existing team members in Node/Typescript best practice.
You will play a key role in technical workshops with key stakeholders and the users of the library using your knowledge and experience to guarantee that the new library is integrated seamlessly and accepted by the stakeholder application teams.
Key Skills - Technical
- Strong experience in Node/Typescript
- Experience with the Kafka platform and/or client libraries
- Knowledge of Avro schemas and serialisation/deserialisation, or similar serialisation technologies
- Knowledge of AWS including AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) and AWS Security Token Service (STS)
- Experience writing platform libraries that are reused by many teams
- Pair programming with existing non-Node developers
- Strong technical communication
