Scala Data Engineer - Contract - Remote - Banking
Our client is currently engaged in a project for a Tier 1 bank that requires a Senior Scala Data Engineer to assist in the development of a new Azure-based data platform. You will be forming a part of a wider programme that will help in delivering new capabilities.
Start date: ASAP
Rate: Max £700 per day
Location: Remote
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Duration: 3 - 6 months with extensions
Must have experience of:
- Scala
- Databricks (including Delta Lake), preferably on Azure
- Experience of building data pipelines
- CI/CD including tools such as Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, TeamCity, Gitlabs pipelines
- Investment Banking domain knowledge (Financing would be a distinct advantage)
Good to have:
- Java, including Spring
- Spark
- Azure Data Factory - ADLS2
- Financial Services experience
