What You'll be doing - Accountabilities


Skills required for the job


  • Work together with business stakeholders to define the purpose and structure of predictive Data Science models
  • Develop and operate Machine Learning tools and predictive models, using XGBoost, Tensorflow and more, both on-premises and on AWS/Google Cloud Platform
  • Identify the appropriate data sources, create new data features and engineer the raw data to model input pipeline
  • Maintain and evaluate models, implement Control Groups and A/B testing regimes to estimate the value of the models for the business and communicate the results to the relevant stakeholders
  • Identify new opportunities to add value to the business through the application of Data Science, Machine Learning and AI techniques
  • Nurture strong stakeholder relationships to help build up a good understanding of their business areas
  • Ability to build well-rounded predictive models using common ML frameworks such as XGBoost, scikit-learn and TensorFlow
  • Ability to deploy Machine Learning models on Cloud Platforms such as AWS and GCP
  • Ability to explain ML solutions in simple terms for non-technical stakeholders
  • Able to communicate and present complex data problems effectively to influence key business decisions
  • Able to wrangle and cleanse data
  • Able to work well in a team, to create strong and trusting stakeholder relationships, and to collaborate across the business
  • Interested in continuously developing skills in the areas of Data Science, Machine Learning, AI and Cloud.
  • Good to have: a deep understanding of fundamentals of probability and statistics.

  • Preffered: Knowledge of the fundamental Statistics and how Machine Learning models such as random forests and neural networks work

  • Preferred: Previous planning experience

  • Preferred: Previous commercial role

  • Recommends future outlook for the quarter on a quarterly basis
  • Recommends the right interventions to close forecast gaps
  • Recommends the right level of uplift to add into forecast for new interventions
