Description

UX Designer - Sketch - Figma - inside IR35 - Remote working.

Great opportunity for a talented UX Designer to join a market leading organistion.

What do you need? Well take a look:

  • Have a deep understanding of user-centred design principles and practices including an appreciation of the attention to detail of the impact to the wider e2e experience of the product or service under design
  • Need strong skills in taking high level requirements and creating/managing low fidelity prototypes to demonstrate customer journeys to product stakeholders for approval and to the internal development to ensure alignment with APIs and Back End design.
  • You may be the sole designer on a significantly sized project, responsible for feeding designs into a number of Front End devs. Or alternatively you may be working with (and guiding) a more junior UX designer and collectively you will need to split the work and ensure a coherent design is maintained.
  • You need to have a good understanding of Agile development and will need to be able to break large chunks of functionality down into development sized JIRAs which are complete UX journeys which can be QA tested.
  • You need to be able work collaboratively with Front End/Back End developers, product owners and the wider development/digital team to deliver the best possible customer experience. You need the ability balance user needs with technical and business requirements. You should be able to look for innovative ways to satisfy constraints.
  • You will need to project manage your own work and deliverables, working closely with the project team to ensure the design workstack matches the prioritisation of the project and keeping them informed of progress. Must be able to demonstrate design deliverables given to Front End developers for development.
  • Need to be highly proficient in Axure, following the design process used in the team and creating highly detailed documentation (both user flows and wireframes) to explain the requirements to other UX designers, Front End devs, QA testers and any other stakeholders who need to use the design documentation to understand how the product works.
  • Proficient knowledge of responsive design and accessibility
  • Need clear communication skills in English in both written and spoken form. The design deliverables need to be written in such a way that they can be used by developers standalone without needing to spend lots of time talking to the UX designer
  • You have a degree in design related field and proven experience working as an interaction and user interface designer (or similar role)
  • Ideally you will have a strong understanding of design including layout, typography and colour with an eye for detail. You will be proficient in Sketch/Figma and be able to manage or contribute to the UI deliverables for the project(s) you work on.
  • You will need to be able to work collaboratively with other UI designers on shared designs and where necessary create and deliver high fidelity mock ups to help developers understand UI requirements of new or complex pages.
