Fruition IT are recruiting a Platform/DevOps Engineer on an initial 6 month contract for a prestigious, national digital intelligence company, who work alongside clients such as the Home Office, Counter Terrorism and Counter Fraud.
Due to the sensitive nature of the projects that the successful candidate will be involved with, you must have valid SC clearance or be eligible to apply.

As a Platform Engineer, you will be a key member of the Software Engineering Team, working with customers to build their core mission capabilities.
You will understand, design, develop, deploy and maintain applications and services critical to the business.
You'll be encouraged to identify new ways of solving problems and get to work in a range of different teams across the customers organisations.
What experience do I need?
- Experience working in a similar DevOps/SRE/Infrastructure role
- An appreciation of Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD tooling
- Scripting abilities with languages such as Shell, Bash, or Python etc
- A working knowledge of Linux, networking, routing & Firewalls etc
- Great communication and problem solving skills, and a desire to learn new technologies
- Working in an Agile environment (eg Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP, etc)
- Configuration Management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible etc
- Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Cloud formation
- Cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
- Docker, and container runtime platforms such as Kubernetes, Openshift or Marathon/Mesos etc
