Role: Java Developer

Location: Hybrid - 2 Days in office (London)

Rate: £450 (Inside IR35)

Duration: 18 Months

Key Essential Skills:

  • Responsible for the design, development, and management of Java-based applications.
  • Design and develop Microservices systems with Java, Spring Boot or Node.js.
  • Knowledge of React tools including React.js, Web pack, Bootstrap, SASS, Express, Redux, and Flux
  • Proficiency with browser-based debugging and performance testing.
  • 5+ years of IT experience,
  • Previously worked in the financial services industry

Desirable Skills:

  • Ability to take initiative to research, learn and recommend emerging technologies.
  • Ability to work with global teams and lead them on critical project initiatives.
  • Expected to have good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Good programming/technical fundamentals.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies/concepts.
  • Self-Starter.
  • Excellent in communication both written as well as spoken.
  • Client facing skills.
  • Excellent documentation skills.

Overview:

  • We are currently seeking an experienced professional Java Developer to join on a contract basis with an immediate start with our client, who are a multinational investment bank and financial services company founded and based in Germany. The successful candidate will need to be an experienced developer using Java and Micro services.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing highly responsive user interface components using Micro Services.
  • Reviewing application requirements and interface design.
  • Understanding of integrating APIs with third party libraries/vendors and handle the security around it.
  • Responsible for Server Side design & development.
  • Development of common, reusable components and services.
  • Responsible for peer code reviews, unit testing, leveraging CICD pipeline of an application.
