Subcontractor position for Python Developer
Rate: Competitive, depending on experience
Location: Glasgow (part remote)
IR35 Status: In-Scope
THE COMPANY
Empiric are engaged with our global financial client to secure a Python Developer on a long term project.
The successful applicant will work with a tier 1 bank on a Real Time trading financial platform developed in the latest python; cloud technologies.
THE INDIVIDUAL
- 6+ years of strong enterprise Python experience; looking for people who were doing Python Scripting with solid object-oriented development such as OOP, OOPs or object-oriented
- The OOP experience should also pertain to Python.
- Experience with modern software development practices is required, including CI/CD, Jenkins and code reviews.
- Oracle Back End and distributed SQL experience is required.
- Experience/works in the credit risk area is a plus but not required: finance, exposure metrics, collateral transactions, risk scoring, quantitative analysis, statistical simulations (eg, Monte Carlo)
