Description
Exciting opportunity has opened for a Full-Stack JavaScript Engineer. You will be supporting a formal testing process which new devices (video on demand service) are required to pass to attain certification. These test packs are made up of a combination of automated tests which are surfaced through an online Automated Certification Tool (ACT) and also manual tests available through run books currently presented in various HTML documents and a spreadsheet. Work will commence to consolidate the manual product tests into the ACT user interface. These tests will still take the form of manual execution to simplify the process of performing testing, managing the tests, and collating and reviewing results from partners and internal testing.
This is a 6 month's contract with an expectation of mostly remote working with up to 2 days per week in the office in Manchester area.
Essential skills:
- Solid JavaScript skills across the full stack, including ReactJS, NodeJS
- HTML5 and CSS experience
- AWS experience, including Lambda, S3 and DynamoDB
- Experience coaching/mentoring junior team members
- Strong knowledge of design principles and patterns
- Good experience of Continuous Integration
- Experience of writing quality code incl. TTD, automation (eg Cypress) and Agile Development
- Excellent communication skills, and comfortable working in a collaborative environment
