Description

We are IT Recruitment Specialists partnered with a prestigious Global Consultancy who require a ServiceNow Developer for one of their Public Sector Clients based with Knutsford.

  • IR35 - This role is Inside IR35

Job Description:

  • Provide architectural and design oversight to ensure all solutions are fit for purpose and use.
  • Design/Build technical solutions based on client's needs and process requirements
  • Deliver solutions using Agile software development processes
  • Understand the current as is processes and deliver toolset changes based on upcoming process changes
  • Customisation or development of enhancement requests for existing ITSM/ITOM tools and processes
  • Take care of end-to-end development activities for a specific enhancement or project as an individual contributor
  • Work closely with BA's, Architects, Testing team and process teams
  • Identify areas of process and tooling improvement and provide solutions to ensure tool is protected in process, security and performance aspects
  • Ensure gaps are clearly identified and reported to BA/stake holders
  • Produce design documents where ever necessary
  • Work closely with vendor resources to meet development deadlines in case of larger projects
  • Take respective ownership as an individual contributor throughout the project life cycle
  • Take respective ownership of preparation of release plan
  • Involve in Proof-of-concept activities and provide best possible solution to customers/stake holders
  • Ongoing involvement in continuous improvement of toolset
  • Follow continuous improvement best practices by identifying and diagnosing improvement opportunities
  • Develops presentations to influence others
  • Contributes to and encourages ideas; builds on suggestions of others, leads by example

  • Has documented and analysed alternative IT and operational solutions, risks and benefits, and obtained decision on resolution
  • Can identify common types of risks/issues and where project dependencies exist; maintains simple RAID
  • Can engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation from all relevant business areas
  • Demonstrates a good end to end understanding of the systems processing for the business area & relationships
  • Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

  • Working experience in ServiceNow Discovery (Preferable, not essential)
  • Ability to interface and develop with Java/J2EE Back End technologies
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, SSO
  • Working knowledge of web applications, networks, protocols and email (SMTP, POP3)
  • Certified System Administrator
  • Certified Application Developer
  • Certified Implementation Specialist
  • ITIL V3
