Description

We are currently hiring a full scrum team, total of 7 Developers. This project has a strong financial and stakeholder backing, with a 3-year project expectancy.

Role Description:

UMR/ROG Technology are seeking a talented developer to work in the Global Markets Technology division. The successful candidate will define requirements, design, develop, implement, and support key business applications. The role requires the developer to collaborate and therefore must possess strong communication skills and be adaptable.

The Team:

UMR/ROG Technology provides an application suite that supports the Risk Optimization FICC trading desk, Uncleared Margin Rules (UMR) functions, and provides intraday/end-of-day Risk, P&L calculations, as well as portfolio management tools for VaR estimation, trade blotters, hedge construction and trade compression validation and execution.

Required Skills:

-Excellent full stack development skills with Python

-Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Design Patterns skills

-Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

-Good understanding of testing concepts (TDD, BDD)

-Good understanding of Financial Derivatives (Swaps, Futures)

Nice to Have:

-Experience in building Graphical User Interfaces with HTML5/CSS/JS/React

-Experience Grid Computing

-Good Understanding of Risk and P&L Concepts (PV, VaR, the Greeks)

Day Rate: £700 - £950 for Mid -Senior Developers

Contract Duration: 6 months, with extensions.

Location: London, offering remote work too.
