Linux Systems Administrator, Linux Engineer, Oxford, £350 PD Inside IR35
We required an experienced Linux Systems Administrator, Linux Engineer to join an Oxford based organisation on an initial short term one month contract. As the Linux Engineer, Linux Systems Administrator you will be responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring and support of their complex services support by predominately Linux platforms. As the Linux Systems Administrator, Linux Engineer you will also work closely with the Head of IT to ensure that third line support is provided whilst you also work with a wide range of third party suppliers and key stakeholders.
This position has been deemed inside IR35 and the position will require someone to work onsite full time.
As the Linux Systems Administrator, Linux Engineer you will ideally have the following experience, knowledge and skill sets:
- Strong Linux/Unix Systems background - Debian, Redhat preferred
- Strong background and experience of configuration management and systems monitoring - Ansible
- Experience/knowledge of version control systems
- Any understanding of IP/TCP networks, VPN, Firewalls
- Experience with Scripting tools, Python, Perl, Bash
- Experience of working with HPC and Lustre storage
- Experience/knowledge of Maria DB, PostgreSQL
