My client is currently looking for a highly motivated Data Engineer based in Brussels, Belgium for a 12-month contract.My client is one of the leading finance companies in Belgium. As a Data Engineer, you will be part of a large team, dealing with developers locally and internationally.
Main responsibilities:
As the Data engineer, are responsible for finding trends in data sets and developing algorithms to help make raw data more useful to the enterprise. This IT role requires a significant set of technical skills, including a deep knowledge of SQL database design and multiple programming languages.
You will be responsible for multiple aspects of this project, including:
- Analyse and organize raw data.
- Build data systems and pipelines.
- Evaluate business needs and objectives.
- Interpret trends and patterns
Technical skills
- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineer or Python Developer
- Setting up in data in AWS
- Knowledge in both CI/CD
- Spark or Pyspark experience as well as Hadoop or Hive
- SQL
- Communicates well in Dutch and English
