Lead Developer (Python/Java) - United Kingdom/Remote

I am currently recruiting a Lead Developer with expertise in Python and Java to join a high-profile organisation on an initial 6 month contract which is very likely to extend.

The Lead Developer (Python/Java) will design, evolve and support a strategic API Management system and lead the team and mentor Junior Developers. The role will also involve working closely with Solution Architects to design and deliver product features.

In order to be considered for this Lead Developer role most of the following skills and experience are required:

  • Expertise in Python and Java Software Development
  • Experience of implementing REST API's using and API Management solution such as WSO2 or Apigee
  • Knowledge of Unit Tests with Junit
  • Mockito
  • AWS including Lambda, EC2 and AWS CodePipeline
  • Spring and Spring Boot
  • JavaScript
  • Maven
  • Linux Shell Scripts eg bash
  • Due to the Nature of this work, candidates will need to Hold live, transferable SC Clearance prior to starting the role

Whilst this is an urgent requirement we can wait for up to four weeks, this is a fully remote contract but candidates will need to be based in the UK.

This role is inside IR35.
