Description
We are looking for a Senior Developers to join our IT Development team for a major financial institution based in London.
The candidate must have a Computer Science orientated degree and proven Java development skills. He/she will work on delivery of projects, carry out enhancements and provide support on a highly critical system. May be required to provide O/N support.
They will liaise and coordinate with business users and other technology areas.
The role is strictly inside IR35 and it is a hybrid model where you are expected to go to office for atleast 2 days a week.
Required skills and experience
- 5+ years of proven experience in Server Side Java Development
- 3+ years of Java Multithreading experience
- 3+ years of Postgresql experience is a must
- Experience with Java 8/11, Spring, Sporing Boot, Maven is a MUST
- Very Good knowledge of technologies ie Middleware JMS over MQ, Unix
- Very Good knowledge of HTML, CSS & REST services
- Implementing unit and integration testing
- Experience in using source versioning tools like Git
- Understanding of architectural principles, interfaces, multi-threaded applications and straight through processing
- Exposure to Agile development methodology
- Ideally worked in Investment Banking Environment
- Highly pragmatic and delivery focused, can do attitude
- Takes ownership for delivery and is a self-starter
- Thorough understanding of technology, development, standards and practises
