Front-End Engineer - React

Start: ASAP

Contract Length: 12 Months

Location: London - 2/3 days a week in office

Trust In Soda have partnered with a global oil and gas company that requires Front-End Engineer for an initial 12-month contract, working out of their London office (2/3 days a week in office).

Project Overview:

This is a completely greenfield project, only a Proof of Concept exists currently; besides strategic constraints around platforms and tooling you'll be able to shape the team and technical implementation of this project. You will be the first engineer onto the team - besides the Technical Lead - so you'll be able to help shape the technical implementation from the ground up

Role Overview:

You will be working on creating a B2C payment product for EV drivers that will helps them understand and reduce costs. In a world there rising energy costs is a concern; this product aims to tackle this challenge by fixes the EV element of the consumer's energy bills.

Key Deliverables:
  • Extensive experience with REACT
  • Experienced with modern JavaScript coding, testing, debugging and automation techniques
  • Enjoy building user-friendly, data-rich JavaScript/HTML/CSS applications
  • Build UIs and APIs using modern tools such as ES6, React, Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, SQL, NoSQL, CSS, CSS-in-JS.
  • Deliver high-quality, well-tested code, TDD / BDD or E2E or end to-end or integration testing
  • Pitch in where needed as a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional team
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • You have experience deploying production applications (e.g. AWS, Azure)
  • Understand the benefits that CI / CD has given you in previous projects
  • Care deeply about performance, accessibility, and API design
  • Have a high bar for user experience quality
  • A solid background in Computer Science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and deftness at object-oriented design and systems architecture
  • Great communication skill
  • Experience delivering multiple projects through to production
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and the ability to uphold agile practices
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Dedication to implement the strategic vision of the agile hub by encouraging others to think differently
