Role Description:
"ServiceNow Developer
we are rolling out - having APM experience would be ideal, however keys skills would really be around solid core platform, integrations and a good understanding of the CMDB and data model.
Key Accountabilities
Provide architectural and design oversight to ensure all solutions are fit for purpose and use.
Design/Build technical solutions based on client's needs and process requirements
Deliver solutions using Agile software development processes
Understand the current as is processes and deliver toolset changes based on upcoming process changes
Customisation or development of enhancement requests for existing ITSM/ITOM tools and processes
Take care of end to end development activities for a specific enhancement or project as an individual contributor
Work closely with BA's, Architects, Testing team and process teams
Identify areas of process and tooling improvement and provide solutions to ensure tool is protected in process, security and performance aspects
Ensure gaps are clearly identified and reported to BA/stake holders
Produce design documents where ever necessary
Work closely with vendor resources to meet development deadlines in case of larger projects
Take respective ownership as an individual contributor throughout the project life cycle
Take respective ownership of preparation of release plan
Involve in Proof of concept activities and provide best possible solution to customers/stake holders
Ongoing involvement in continuous improvement of toolset
Follow continuous improvement best practices by identifying and diagnosing improvement opportunities

o Demonstrates a good end to end understanding of the systems processing for the business area & relationships

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
Business Knowledge:
Has good general knowledge with some detailed knowledge of products/functions outside of day to day area supported:
Can engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation from all relevant business areas
Demonstrates a good end to end understanding of the systems processing for the business area & relationships
Exposure to the follow key modules in ServiceNow is required:
Incident/Problem/Change
CMDB
Discovery
Orchestration (Preferable, not essential)
Knowledge
Service (Request) Catalog
Demonstrable experience in following Technical concepts of ServiceNow is MUST
ServiceNow web services and APIs
Expert in JavaScript
Workflow Configuration
Working knowledge of relational databases
Experience with Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, etc)
Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
Working experience in ServiceNow Discovery (Preferable, not essential )
Ability to interface and develop with Java/J2EE Back End technologies
Working knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, SSO
Working knowledge of web applications, networks, protocols and email (SMTP, POP3)
The following Certifications are an added advantage.
Certified System Administrator
Certified Application Developer
Certified Implementation Specialist
ITIL v3"
