Job Summary:
General Key Responsibilities
1. Provide subject matter expertise in all FinOps aspects of public cloud services, as well as review and approve deployment of new instances & systems within Cloud environments
2. Collaborate with technology teams to incorporate cost management best practices into cloud platforms via tagging, alerting and configurations that supports financial monitoring of cloud platforms
3. Responsible for integrating FinOps tools, creating reusable design patterns and code modules to support optimization and Cloud Finance Management (CFM) policies at the enterprise level.
4. Implement FinOps Best Practices & Principles in a goal-oriented manner
5. Advising the IT organization on the aspects of cloud cost management, profitability calculations on-prem vs. cloud, etc. with regards to cost optimization and operating models.
6. Develop mid/long term strategic solutions direction and vision for FinOps in support of our customer focused digital transformation program.
7. Further development of the FinOps team as an important pillar in the area of the complete cloud environment.
8. Design and implementation of challenging end-to-end transformation projects based on the latest cloud technologies
9. Integrate an existing system into an Event Driven Architecture, design and implement new technologies, design domain landscapes, maximize deeper transformation and value creation through the cloud
10. Happy to pass on the knowledge you create and hold FinOps training courses and talks, you write but also the occasional blog post
11. Establish KPIs to track progress and success of transformation and optimization opportunities
12. Lead regular cadence with Finance, Sr. leaders and technical peers providing expert advice on cloud financial management activities
13. Responsible for reporting, escalating, and remediating system alerts based on the established processes
14. Provide summaries and detailed usage statistics on costs for resources across public clouds environments, offering actionable intelligence to right?size and scale services efficiently
15. Serve as expert on Cloud costing
16. Optimization strategies, Operating Guidelines/Principles, and Services/Solutions
