Description

My Client, within the Financial Services, are looking for a Senior F5 Load Balancing SME for an initial 12 month Contract.
The role is REMOTE but may require some travel to the offices in London or Knutsford 2/3 days per month.
The role is INSIDE of IR35 and is paying £ P/D.

Experience and duties:

  • Seeking for Seasoned F5 Load Balancing SMEF. Who will be acting as the global head engineer in our customers specialist areas - the "go-to guy" for F5 Load balancers.
  • Responsible for setting roadmaps, knowing the product inside out and all the way down to performance/processors.
  • Working on 80% project work and providing 20% BAU support
  • Key ongoing projects: Upgrade programme, a few cloud projects and currently redesigning some of their data centres.
  • Must have expert hands-on working knowledge with F5 LTM/GTM. (Avi VMware ALB and other vendors a plus)
  • Scripting ability: (Python/Perl/Bash)
  • Experience with networking protocols (BGP, TCP, HTTP, DNS,)
  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities creating and managing automation and orchestration frameworks (ansible, puppet, salt, jinja etc)
  • Identify technical risks and provide/recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Strategy development, roadmaps, defining global processes and standards
  • Vendor engagement and management, capturing business requirements and analysis of next generation technologies
  • Understanding of virtualization, cloud and modern application architectures.
