The Job
This role requires a Senior Software Engineer Backend with strong Golang experience, to work remotely. You will work as part of a full stack team to develop solutions to ensure optimal experiences for the clients customers and teams within the company. You will utilise a variety of Back End technologies (Go, Ruby or Scala) to build scalable products. You will take part in decisions related to how the client undertake new projects. You will gather requirements and scope out projects with the rest of the team.
The role doesn't expect all of the below as essential but would love you to have experience in the following areas:
- Pride in readable, well designed, well tested software. 5 or more years professional experience writing web based applications in any language and a willingness to quickly get up to speed on their stack (ruby/rails, Go, Phyton or Scala).
- Experience with TDD environments (RSpec, Minitest, Capybara, Selenium)
- Experience with relational databases (PostGreSQL, MySQL) and key-value stores (Memcache, Redis)
- Experience with Front End web technology, bonus points for React
- Experience with web architecture at scale (20krpm and above)
- Experience with PostGIS, or any geography-heavy applications
- Experience with "NoSQL" data backends (Redis, MongoDB, ElasticSearch)
- Experience solving logistical problems with software

The rate
£500-£750 Daily
Location
100% remote, happy for you to be based in UK or Europe
Process
1 hour paired programming interview + 1 hour cultural interview
