Infrastructure Engineer - Denodo Admin

Description of Requirement:
We are wanting an experienced Denodo Engineer to help support the Denodo platform and drive forward service improvement work at a technical level.
An understanding of
* Data integration
* Data management
* Data curation
* Data engineering
* Data related client tooling
* Java
* Hadoop
* Software clustering for performance and availability
* Semantic modelling (nice to have)
* Data migration techniques (nice to have)
There could also be knowledge sharing and mentoring of a junior member of the team here.
TYPICAL ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
As stated above, we are looking for an experienced Denodo Engineer to assist in supporting our platform and provide technical work to give service improvements. Ensure that the day-to-day operational needs are fit for purpose and meeting best practice. Along with keeping the system patched and up to date in line with ONS policies. Ability to think creatively in the security/information assurance domain. Working with project teams to onboard new data sources.
In addition, we anticipate some knowledge sharing and mentoring of junior member of the team.
Relevant Skills and Experience:
- Working knowledge of Denodo Platform 8.0 (Denodo Virtual Data Port, Design Studio, Data Catalog and scheduling tools) Essential
- Ability to work with various Data sources - Databases and their management (RDBMS, Document, Graph, XML, etc) Essential
- Understanding of TCP/IP Networking, encryption and data protocols (JDBC, REST, TLS/SSL, IP routing, cloud networking fundamentals) Essential
- Linux (Ideally Red Hat 7) Administration Essential
- Knowledge transfer to junior members of the team Desirable
- Evidenced relevant Denodo certifications/training Desirable
- Postgres DB Admin Desirable
