Platform/DevOps Engineer
6 Month Contract! Hybrid! Bristol OR Milton Keynes!
We are working with one of the world's largest, leading aerospace companies in the UK, to support their contract hiring needs across all business units!
For this opportunity, you will be involved in the design, development, testing, implementation and support of associated components, in which being comfortable and confident when interacting with colleagues and partners (at all levels of seniority) is important.
The role also entails performing analysis, resolving application performance issues in timely co-ordination, documenting all processes and procedures and ensuring compliance, aswell as performing application deployments, upgrades and ongoing support.
*Training available for the right candidate.*
Essential:
- Hands on experience developing JBOSS FUSE Java applications, with Spring Boot and Camel integration.
- Databases, with hands-on SQL.
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to pick up additional responsibilities
Desired:
- OpenShift or other Kubernetes based platforms.
- Automation and Ansible
- UNIX Scripting
- PL/SQL coding
- DevOps or Agile
- Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools,
- Version control system like Git
- Experience within the Defense sector would be a significant advantage.
