The Senior Web Application Engineer is responsible for the planning, design and execution of software engineering work and the use of DevOps practices to ensure responsible business & technology transformation execution. Ensuring that delivery is predictable, responsive, productive, high quality, valuable (to our clients, colleagues & communities), & sustainable, while supporting Silent IT Service
The Senior Web Application Engineer is responsible for enabling and empowering other Web Application Engineers in the delivery of value, ensuring consistent use of engineering practices and acting as a point of escalation.
As a consultant, advising on software engineering activities and keeping solutions aligned to the future state of our business.

Experience of leading and/or mentoring a team of software developers
Required
- A Microsoft .NET development background, with experience of the Visual Studio IDE, coding and debugging techniques
- Excellent knowledge of web development technologies and techniques including knowledge of Front End technologies; HTML, JavaScript frameworks and CSS
- Experience of developing for web content management systems eg Sitecore Desired
- Some knowledge of automated build and deployment (CI/CD) using Azure DevOps Repos and Pipeline
- Experience of Agile development methodologies
- Experience of working in the legal or financial sectors would be beneficial
