Automation Developer (SC-Cleared)

Location: London (Hybrid)

Contract: 12-months, Full time (Expected March start)

Rate: £450-£500/day (Outside IR35)

Our client is a prominent enterprise software provider, looking for an experienced Automation Developer to fulfil a requirement for a large government project. The candidate will be required to already hold Security Clearance (SC) and be willing to undergo Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.

The candidate will be an experienced Automation Developer, with a solid experience in software integration, working in a small agile team in the development and implementation of automations flows based upon bespoke requirements from clients.

Candidates will be expected to work 4 days per week on-site in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced developer to be work within a focused team and utilize their existing skill set and further develop such skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessment of manually-executed processes, providing feedback and further input to make business processes better, not exclusively though technical solutions.
  • Authorising design documentation
  • Developing robust, secure, and efficient automation solutions
  • Working with stakeholders at all levels of the business, including Security Architects, Business Process Owners, Product Owners, and Technical Experts
  • Testing and early life support of automation solutions
  • Investigation, diagnosis, and resolution of automation flow failures
  • Working closely with other project and service management teams to deliver and maintain automation solutions.
  • Working with a growing team of developers, providing peer revies, knowledge sharing and coaching for client staff.
  • Supporting the development of the client's Automation as a service capability

Candidates will need:

  • Security Clearance is required
  • Experience developing Automation and integration tools/solutions is required
  • Experience of implementation and integration of process automation solutions
  • OO/RPA knowledge and skills would be advantageous
  • Fundamental programming/logical skills - Looping, if/else statements, exception handling
  • Experience working with APIs - REST and SOAP
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and Python would be very beneficial
  • Knowledge of the RDMS and SQL (Oracle, Postgres and MSSQL) would be beneficial
  • Experience of working in multi-customer environments is very desired
