BTS (Base Transciever Station) Systems Architect – Gothenburg – 12 Months Plus Extensions

My client is looking for a BTS (Base Transceiver Station) Systems Expert in the area of 5G systems research. Your main task will be to propose, through research, new methods on how best to support new radio architecture.

This is a long-term project with an initial contract of 12 months and a likelihood of extension thereafter.

Responsibilities:
• Research on 5G BTS Systems Architectures
• Find innovative and cost-efficient solutions for current and future wireless networks.
• Analytical evaluation of the performance of new ideas/architectures
Tech Stack:
• Strong understanding of 5G Systems.
• Good understanding of Radio Architecture, RF Systems, Antenna Systems and Baseband Processing.
• Good understanding of Base Transceiver Station systemization for WCDMA, LTE and 5G Systems.
• Good understanding of Physical Layer 1.

• Strong background in wireless systems and wireless communications.
• Strong knowledge in digital communication theory, wireless communications, signal processing.
• Deep knowledge about multi-antenna systems.
• Good understanding of antenna systems, channel models and wireless propagation.
• Good understanding of radio systems and radio system components.
• Substantial experience with wireless system performance evaluation and optimization.
• For technical calculations and analysis, experience skills in MATLAB or Python is preferred.
• Good knowledge of 5G NR standard and technologies related with 5G systems.
• Knowledgeable about Layer 1 and Layer 2 algorithms in NR or other wireless system.
