Back End Developer
Whitehall Resources are looking for a Back End Developer to work for a key client. The role is based in Hammersmith, London, and it may be required to work on site 1- 2 times per week.
The role is deemed INSIDE IR35, therefore the candidate must use an accredited Umbrella company for this role.

We have an ambitious Digital Strategy and are quickly building scalable and highly reliable software systems - Cloud first, API first, Microservices with first class DevSecOps engineering practices - and have a highly matrixed delivery model passionate about shipping fast and learning quickly.
To succeed, we need to build integrations to feed our next-gen customer journeys and are looking for developers with a strong background in integration and the ability to design, build, and run applications.

The must haves:
- Proven experience developing in Node.js
- GCP OR AWS
- Solid experience with Microservices Design Patterns and Architecture
- Have demonstrable experience of build/run/deploy within a containerised environment & side car concept's
- Cloud API Gateway experience with either APIGee, Endpoints or Mulesoft
- Kubernetes
- GitHub, GitLab, DevOps Pipeline (eg, terraform, cli, ansible, puppet, etc), Container Registry
- Docker
Other stuff we're looking for:
- Service Mesh (Istio, etc)
- Knowledge Background of ESB or SOA
- Gradle/Maven/Build tools
- GraphQL
- Splunk/StackDriver/Logging Monitoring Traceability
We are looking for Back End developers who have been engaged in building a complex application using micro services using node.js.
- Cloud experience is a MUST. This means that most of the services provided by a cloud provider have been used. While GCP is preferred, AWS is fine too.
- Kubernetes experience is required.
