Senior C++ Engineer - Real Time Architecture, CPU, Code Optimization, Financial ServicesA Senior C++ Engineer with expertise in Real Time architecture is urgently sought after by a global Financial Services business to join one of their core Real Time software teams.
The team in question are currently undertaking a strategic capacity expansion programme and have hit a critical issue within the software mitigation phase which is causing them to see high CPU spikes on their cores.
Your role will be to help resolve this issue, undertaking deep dive analysis of the code base to narrow down potential causes. Once the issue has been identified, you will then collaborate with the wider team to design, develop and implement a solution that optimises code performance and reduces CPU usage to avoid future spikes.
To be successful, you will require:
- An extensive background in hands-on C++ engineering
- A deep understanding of Real Time architecture and software
- Excellent knowledge of computer hardware and software interactions.
- Knowledge of software development best practices, including code optimization, testing, and version control.
- A background in financial services is highly preferable but experience within telecoms or gaming will also work.
