We are currently seeking a Tester with expertise in Oracle AP to join our Team in Tralee

As a member of the QA Group, you will be joining an existing QA team. To facilitate this testing, candidates with the following skillsets are urgently sought. The primary function of this role will be to define the testing scope required and to perform test execution.

Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will have proven Test Execution experience within a multi-location financial environment demonstrating the abilities required to be able to execute test cases, accurately document and report test results and defects to the established standards as expected.
  • Participate in:
    • Software requirement analysis, design reviews to understand testing requirements
    • Design reviews for Software Development
  • Utilize Strong Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) to guide development of test plan, cases and scripts
  • Develop:
    • Testing strategy
    • Oracle Apps functional test cases
    • Oracle Apps overall Test procedures
  • Test reports, clearly indicating pass fail results
  • Support the configuration of the Oracle App server  for testing
  • Perform Oracle App functional tests
  • Log all defects and perform re-testing when defects corrections are provided
  • Experience in System Testing (ST), System Integration Testing (SIT); in the DEV, QA and REL environments; and assisting with the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) that will be driven by the impacted business areas.
  • Preferable experience of testing in an end to end payment environment (interfaces, payment and accounting systems, sanctions scanning, SWIFT routing, STP vs repair etc.)

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills and accuracy are essential
  • This role requires a self-motivated and proactive candidate who can readily identify and communicate risks and issues and propose solutions to mitigate these.
  • Must be able to work alone and within a team environment
  • Must have strong analytical skills in order to be able to assist with test case analysis and creation if required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Must have 3+ years of experience with below or equivalent:
    • Oracle R11/R12 ERP Applications Tester
    • Testing Oracle Apps Modules: GL, AR, AP, FA, CE, SLA
    • Software Test Methodologies (Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Cases, Test Coverage, Test Reports, etc.)

Highly Desirable Skills for this role:

  • Working knowledge of HP Quality Centre extremely useful
  • Experience in a financial institution preferred, though not essential
  • Strong knowledge of International Payment standards, particularly as they pertain to EMEA and NA based payment products and process advantageous (Target II, SEPA/EBA Step2 (SCT and SDD), CHAPS, CHIPS, FED etc.)
  • Knowledge of SWIFT messaging within the 1 and 2 series and experience of working on Payment Systems or other wholesale banking back office systems a distinct advantage

Notes:

  • Some evening & weekend work is required though generally it is office hours
  • You must be eligible to travel to the USA & Europe
