Description
Oracle Database Administrator/Oracle DBA - Oracle, 11g, 12c, Dataguard, Database, BII have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Oracle DBA, with extensive knowledge in both production & application environments. The contract will be based in London, for 6 months. You will be delivering a major database upgrade & development project, which is part of a large scale transformation of work. This contract has a high possibility of extension on renewal.
Essential Technical DBA Skills:
- Physical database design & maintenance
- Extensive experience working in Oracle 11g Active Dataguard environments. Must be able to utilise the DR solution for BI reporting.
- RMAN Backup recovery for production databases.
- Extensive Instillation, configuration and migration database experience.
- Oracle 12c Enterprise Manager on Redhat Linux
- Upgrades from legacy 10g systems, to 11g databases.
- Multiplatform - Linux & Windows
- Performance Monitoring and tuning.
- Clones/Backup and recovery of Development and test environments.
- Data Replication
- Security administration
- Performance Monitoring and tuning.
Desired Skills
- Experience working in the Higher Education sector.
- Experience of working in an SCRUM environment or with another other Agile methodology
Location: London Duration: 6 Months Rate: £pd (dependant on experience)
