A Data modeller role has arisen within an investment bank in Croydon. This is a contract role that is looking to roll on a six month basis and is looking to pay £320 per day.The role of the Data Modeller is to deliver data modelling and other data architecture/data analysis activities as required by project(s) database development work that supports the model implementation which mean it based within both the business within Commercial banking and the IT community within both commercial banking and group.
Your responsibilities will include
- delivering on Future State Architecture
- Data Modelling (logical and physical)
- data analysis and some data architecture activities.
The delivery of a new MDM platform is of strategic importance to the bank because data management within the commercial banking arm is going through massive change to meet future demand and regulatory constraints.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM), Data Quality, Customer Data
- Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Oracle, IBM MDM InfoSphere, ERWIN
- Experience working in relevant market/context, i.e. Financial Services
- Role relevant qualifications, i.e.Relevant Degree
- Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Data Modeller
- Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. High complexity, high data volumes, heavily regulated, dynamic.
- Experience working in relevant market/context, i.e. Banking is desirable but not essential
- Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Large Global Corporates is desirable but not essential
- Availability to undertake the travel required for this role, i.e. Limited travel will be required to the US, Hong Kong and other countries. Travel between UK sites within London is likely.
- A track record of gaining an understanding of customers' needs and delivering excellent customer service
