Role: Annuities & Protection - VBA DeveloperLocation: Edinburgh
Duration: 2-3 months initial contract
Rate: £300-£550/day
Working within the Annuities and Protection business unit, you will support the Pricing and the Commercial Management teams in developing macros/programmes to manipulate large quantities of data and access other programmes such as Prophet and Internet Explorer.
This is an exciting time in the business unit as we prepare to launch new products, and this is a key role in helping to automate the data processes that support that delivery.
Key skills
- Essential - Expert VBA user
- Must have worked within the UK Financial Services sector previously
- Able to write VBA macros that manipulate large quantities of data
- Able to use VBA to call other programs such as internet explorer and prophet
- Must use best practise programming, including full documentation and appropriate use of subfunctions and loops
- Strong ability to manage work to agreed deadlines.
Desirable
- Actuarial knowledge
- Part or fully qualified actuary
- For those without actuarial qualifications, a high level of numeracy must be demonstrated
