IBM iSeries & Application Support (12 Month Contract)Due to a large amount of growth within my clients company, they are in need of an iSeries & Application Support professional. This will be working for a large manufacturing company based in Bradford, but with this role the right candidate would be expected to travel to other sites, although not the regularly.
The successful candidate will be based out of the Bradford office but will be part of a large UK wide IT team which supports the whole of the businesses IT function. The position will be to support the iSeries Technicians while they concentrate on their current project.
Location: Bradford, although there may be a little bit of travel.
Rate: £
Length: 12 months
Essential Skills:
- iSeries Administration/support
- Security set up of users and application of PTF's
- Backup applications
- ability to diagnose and solve problems.
- Day to day monitoring of performance
Desired(if you have any of these, you will be given preference):
- Setting up of high availability solutions on iSeries platform
- Programming skills in ASSET(BPCS), RPG and CL
- Specific BPCS knowledge in distribution or manufacturing.
