Release Manager / Contract / Banking / London / £450-£550pdMy client a top tier investment bank is looking for a Release Manager who is hands on and technically strong. The role is based in their central London office and will be joining a small team based in the front/middle office environment.
What the role will entail:
The successful candidate will work as a Release Manager required to support the market data team and you will be required to have strong experience within the financial arena.
You will need to be able to define release strategies as well as manage the QA environment and development.
Lead in the design and planning of the release strategy; that also involves risk assessments.
Liaise with members within the software development team with regards to scheduling.
Maintain the release schedule for all the development work
Conduct post release reviews and develop implementation plans
Manage the business's configuration management system.
Have experience fitting all components.
Worked on windows systems and platforms but happy to learn Unix.
Worked on and with distributed platforms.
Take ownership of all release processes as well as procedures.
Manage and co-ordinate all changes through to release, liaising closely with the project team.
Proactively address issues that arise and working with the development team, as well as stakeholders in the business to seek resolution.
Must have excellent stakeholder management skills and be able to face off to the business on a daily basis.
The candidate must be able to work in a highly dynamic environment with demanding users. The successful candidate will gain excellent exposure to the business area and products as well as the opportunity to work in a technically challenging, delivery focused environment.
