My client based in Lincolnshire is currently looking for a Oracle / SQL DBA with a negotiable rate from £275 to £375 based on experienceKey Responsibilities:
- Ensure the timely resolution of incidents, problems, changes as prioritised in agreed Service Levels.
- Ensure documentation is current and up to date.
- Ensure that systems remain supportable, expandable, fit for purpose, and capable of delivering ongoing business value and benefit.
- Manipulates, maintains and scrutinises databases to provide information regarding enhancements, upgrades and software.
- Takes innovative approaches to problem solving and delivers inventive and creative solutions.
Essential Skills
- Strong technical knowledge of Oracle and MS SQL server
- Excellent working knowledge of Business Objects reporting tools
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems
- Excellent understanding of current licensing arrangements
- Ability to understand/contribute to business strategy
- Strong technical skills with a customer service ethic
- Strong influencing skills, and the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels
- Hold a full driving licence as travel to other locations will be required
Desirable
- Degree from a technology discipline
- Has a working knowledge of applications and integration products from market leading suppliers eg. Oracle, SAP, IBM, Microsoft
- Experience of working within the policing market sector
