MS SQL Server Consultant Required - London - March start - Market rates per day - 6 month ContractMS SQL Server Consultant Required Tabular model, xVelocity and DAX - London - March start - Market rates per day - 6 month Contract Is urgently required to help implement a business intelligence solution using MS SQL Server.
Experience & Skills:
+5 years' experience as a SQL Server Solution Expert with extensive experience in:
Extract Transform and Load (ETL), i.e. SSIS using flat file transfer, OLE, ODBC and Web Service connections,
Data Warehousing,
Dashboards and reporting, through SSRS
Analytics through SSAS
Tabular model, xVelocity and DAX.
*Work with Business Leaders to establish a roadmap for a Group BI solution, taking into account business needs/capability up-lifts, application roll-outs etc.
*Gather business requirements for reporting, dashboards, ad-hoc analysis etc. from participating sites.
*Develop the requirements into detailed packages (sprints) of work.
*Deliver, unit test and deploy development and enhancements in line with the packages of work.
*Supplier management for key suppliers related to the Business Intelligence solution.
Additionally:
*Work with other members of Group IT to develop joint strategies and principles for Business Intelligence that fit in with our business needs
*Will work closely with Group IT resource managing server infrastructure for applications
Qualifications:
Graduate level education.
Preferably a Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE) in SQL Server 2012 (or above) Business Intelligence.
+1 years' experience with SQL Server 2012 across all aspects of the BI solution
Experience of implementing business intelligence within a Group environment (multiple instances, multiple locations, languages etc.).
Experience of deploying code to multiple instances within the Group using Team Foundation Server or similar code controls.
Demonstrable business analysis skills preferably supported by a relevant qualification.
Preferable experience of working and managing in an Agile (Sprints) delivery environment.
Useful to have project management experience.
