Our client, a top four UK Bank, are currently looking for an experienced Senior Lead Development specialist to work out of their London offices on a long term contract basis.
This is a hands-on development lead role, with the successful candidate being expected to take ownership for the technical direction of the platform, ensuring smooth running and efficiency in line with the business strategy.
The successful Java Application/Server Development specialist candidate will have the following:-
- Full knowledge of Java server side development is essential
- A history of working within foreign exchange
- Demonstrated experience of multi-threaded development
- Proven experience implementing global, distributed systems in a 24 * 5.5 trading environment
- Spot Pricing - production of low-latency spot prices
- Strong communication to liaise with Front Office staff, including traders, sales and quants
- The ability to work both within a team and independently
Ideal experience would include knowledge of Enterprise Integration and messaging technologies such as 29 West or RMDS
This is an exciting opportunity to play a part in a huge programme currently running within financial services, with the day rate starting at £675/day and the programme set to run for at least the next 2 years.
