An excellent and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Intelligence Manager to join a client based in the South West.Contract Length: 6 Months
Rate: £450 - £500pd
Location: South West
The successful Business Intelligence Manager will be responsible for:
Assist stakeholders with strategic decisions
Implement the Cognos BI suite proactively across the company
Maintain close links with the business to ensure that the company stay on target and achieve their goals.
Provide process related consultancy to departments within the Group.
rovide in-house appropriate user-support, training and consultancy for issues as may be necessary from time to time as part of the implementation team.
Manage the BI team & external vendor support to ensure alignment and delivery of the Cognos suite of products.
Maintain the Cognos platform to ensure it is operational at all times while prviding documentation for existing and new processes.
The successful Business Intelligence Manager must:
Possess previous experience within the business analytics environment
Understanding ERP Systems from a business perspective; Oracle based ERP knowledge an advantage.
Knowledge of Business Intelligence principles and best practices to enable team direction with the ability to support where resource constraints require the building of reports/dashboards as per the business requirements.
Experience/Knowledge of stored data in relational and dimensional formats and the ability to transform it using other tools.
Experience of working with OLAP multidimensional analytical modelling software to provide the business need for collaborative financial planning .
Knowledge/experience with Cognos BI tools.
Demonstrate sound knowledge of SQL and Cognos.
