Capability and Infrastructure Manager / Manchester / 48KCurrently looking for a Capability and Infrastructure Manager to develop and maintain the insight capabilities and other systems that are required to support the analysis of customer data.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop the databases and data marts that contain the sources for insight analysis.
- Source, procure, make available and support the necessary analysis tools to meet customer insight needs.
- Ensure that there is a robust and fit-for-purpose infrastructure to support the databases and analysis tools.
- Manage the relationships and contracts with 3rd party and internal suppliers of the required services and products.
- Develop, coach and motivate the one direct report
Key Accountabilities
- Fit-for-purpose suite of tools and data sources that deliver quality consumer insights and analyses to support business needs in a cost-effective manner.
- Accurate and accessible customer data.
- Best possible deals negotiated, and strong business relationships developed, with 3rd parties in conjunction with Procurement to ensure that external capabilities are available as required to provide the customer insight that the business needs.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Expert understanding and extensive experience of insight-related technical platforms and capabilities in the market.
- Expert understanding of systems and tools required to support an in-house insight team.
- Detailed understanding of analysis methodologies and tools (including SAS).
- Able to program in SAS and/or SQL with an aptitude to take on new data manipulation languages as the job requires.
- Highly experienced in working with large datasets and large/complex database structures.
- Ability to quickly understand source system data structures and be comfortable in finding and sourcing data from multiple systems.
- Significant experience in monitoring system performance and proactively troubleshooting and leading the resolution of issues.
- Experience of working with a large multi-faceted IT department to resolve issues quickly.
- Previous experience of leading a small team and coaching and developing others within a highly technical context.
- Able to set priorities and managing conflicting requirements.
- Proven experience of managing infrastructure projects.
Salary - £48,000
