Computer Futures is looking for a SQL Developer to focus on the development of existing and new backend functions in MS SQL, the successful candidate will be involved in the entire development lifecycle from requirements gathering through to Go-live.Type: Contract
Rate: £250- £350pd
Location: South Wales
Essential skills and experience:
- Experience with database development using MS SQL Server (SQL Server 2005 onwards)
- Advance ability with SQL code (stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints)
- SQL Server Integration Services
- Database administration including backups, job management, security, maintenance plans, monitoring, replication, log shipping and optimisation
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database issues.
- Experience with performance optimisation using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other tools
- Working knowledge SQL Server security features
- SQL Server Management Studio
- Expert knowledge of database architecture and design principles with ability to design, develop, enhance and support complex database applications
Desired Skills:
- Data migration experience
- C# and .net web application development experience
- Visual Studio
- SQL Server Reporting Services
