Oracle PL/SQL Developer, Edinburgh, Asset Management

Oracle PL/SQL Developer with the latest version of Oracle 11g R2 is required by an asset management client of mine based in Edinburgh. This is a very strong opportunity for and Oracle PL/SQL Developer with strong knowledge of system implementations and reconciliations to come on board this new team.

You will be responsible for all technical design and development for all the new Oracle PL/SQL platform to handle the ETL throughput projects and will become a subject matter expert for the team. You will be responsible for working with the development teams globally and maintaining all code is effective for the business requirements at all stages of the development life-cycle. You will get exposure to various product streams that come through this area and will be able to grow your technical skill set for this team.

This department is the key to success for the banks regulatory reporting. The reason for the expansion of the team is down to the department working on a new business critical project and with more development set for various Oracle data warehouses in the regulatory space there will be enough work.

This is a 6 months rolling contract position with rates up to £400pd. Based up in Edinburgh

Essential Skills:
  • Oracle 10G/11GR2 PL/SQL development is critical for this role and hands on experience is a must have.
  • Candidates that have experience in reconciliations systems will be highly sought after as the project is a Greenfield platform.
  • It is important for candidates to have working knowledge on Data Integrator for this project/
  • Database design and development
  • Investment banking is mandatory requirement for this role ideally within the Risk space
