Embedded, C, C++, Linux, LTE, 4G, Wireless, WiMax, WiFi, Berkshire

LOCATION: Berkshire (commutable from Slough, Reading, Maidenhead, Uxbridge and Bracknell)
RATE: £35 - £37 per hour
CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 months initially (project to be 12 months+)

THE PROJECT:
A wireless company in Berkshire have an initial 6 month requirement for an Embedded Software Engineer, that is expected to last 12 months +.

You will be working on the development & integration of a new wireless product, where you will be working on the connectivity of the clients proprietary wireless protocol (similar to WiMAX/ WiFi) with 4G/ LTE.

For the role you will be programming in Embedded C, but in an Object Oriented way. You should therefore have C++, OOD or UML experience.

You should have experience programming on Linux and have wireless protocol experience (any of the following GSM, 3G, LTE, WiMAX, WiFi, UMTS, IPv4, IPv6).

What is particularly appealing about this role is that you will have the opportunity to work on the entire system, rather than in some companies where you only get to work on a small part of a product.

You will be required to perform development, debugging and integration tasks.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

1. Embedded C
2. C++ or OO design (you will be working in an object oriented way on this project)
3. Linux
4. Wireless Communication experience (such as GSM, 3G, LTE, WiMAX, WiFi, UMTS, IPv4, IPv6)
5. Able to do development, debugging and integration tasks
