Location: Dublin
Type: 6 month daily rate contract
One of Europe's largest Telecommunications companies based in Dublin is looking for an experienced IP Design Engineer to join their design team. They are in the midst of several large core network designs and require at least 1 CCNP level contractor.
One of the projects includes upgrading the 2G & 3G networks for the nationwide roll out to LTE.
You will be supporting the following technologies:
- RIP, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, OSPF, PBR, IP SLA, QoS on routers & L3 switches (3700, 4500, 6500 switches),
- VPNs (remote and site to site)
- STP
You will be supporting the following devices:
- 50 Cisco Firewalls (PIX & ASA),
- Hundreds of Cisco switches & routers (3700, 4500, 6500 series switches, 2800, ASRs, load balancers),
Some of the responsibilities include:
- IP Design lead on the design & deployment of IPTV network services across the residential & wholesale sectors.
- Technical design lead on the migration of mobile RAN traffic onto Ethernet IP platform for 2G/3G voice & data services.
- Present technical network solutions & support technical engagements with third party operators.
- Technical design lead on the migration of IP & Ethernet services from legacy networks to NGN networks.
