I am currently recruiting for a contract Senior Android Developer to work on a large project which my client has won with one of their larger clients. They have an office in Leeds and are a specialist in delivering quality software solutions; currently they have no internal expertise in the android development area.
THE ROLE
This is an initial 6 month contract, there is a steady stream of android work in the pipeline so if interested there's a good potential to work for my client pas the initial contract period. For the project scheduled your main duties will be to work with my client on site for initially the first week or two to understand the project and review the iOS version of the application. You will consult them on developing the greenfield android application which will involve data gathering, GUI design and ensuring the front end interacts properly with the web services.
After an initial week or two they are happy to consider full remote working with frequent visits to client site in Leeds.
THE RATE: £ daily
THE INDIVIDUAL
- For this role the successful candidate will need the following:
- 2/3 years experience developing commercial android applications
- Strong native android development experience
- Demonstrable android applications (to show at interview stage)
- Strong background in software development
- Knowledge of iOS is desirable
