Description
An Oracle DBA is required working for a Banking client on a contract basis based in Stirling in Scotland. The candidate will be require hands on technical experience with Oracle 10g and 11g and have extensive support experience within a multi project environment. This role will be working in the global banking and markets team so experience and knowledge in the financial services is a must. The candidate will be responsible for 24/7 support of the database and will be required to keep the highest standards of availability and performance for the business as required.This is a 3 month rolling contract paying market rates.
Essential Skills/Experience;
- Excellent Oracle Performance and Tuning skills including SQL, PL/SQL and database/instance tuning, Server configuration and tracing facilities, interpretation of tkprof files and event traces.
- Oracle Real Application Clusters
- Oracle Recovery Manager
- Oracle DataGuard
- Strong experience of planning and implementing production service architectures in a multi-domain, multi-platform and multi-site environment.

- Exposure to Financial Markets
- EMC San knowledge
- Netbackup
- Toad
- Java, XML & HTML
