Computer Futures are currently looking for a Software Engineer for a new position in the Devon.This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a market leading technology company. With a number of years experience in their field they are real specialists. My client currently partner many leading companies across the world. Their solutions are designed and manufactured in the UK but sold globally. You will be responsible for the development of complex embedded firmware for exciting cutting edge electronic products.
Role: Software Engineer
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Location: Devon
Length: Permanent
Key Requirements:
- Experience of embedded firmware development for electronic products
- A good degree in a related Engineering discipline e.g. Electronics, Software, Computer Science or similar
- Experience with a variety of microcontrollers/platforms, ARM Cortex M3 would be particularly advantageous
- Practical electronics experience
Key Skills:
- Development of exceptional embedded firmware for complex electronics devices
- Good knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts
- Development of Windows/Linux applications, services and drivers
- Knowledge of communications concepts, interfaces and network infrastructures e.g. TCP/IP model etc.
- Software modelling using standard tools (e.g UML, Yourden etc.)
- Coding to established standards, Lint, MISRA etc and usage of revision control systems e.g. Subversion, Git etc.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with embedded real-time operating systems
- High level software
- Mac OS application and driver development
- Electronics design experience
The salary on offer is very competitive offering £40,000 - £45,000 dependant on experience and also a very good benefits package.
