My client based in the West Midlands are currently looking for a SAS Cognos Developer to join there team as soon as possibleThe Cognos Developer will be responsible for the design, development, deployment, and support of reports and cubes using the Cognos Business Intelligence solution. In this capacity, the position will include consulting with all members of our Technology Solutions team: Architecture, TRM&IS, as well as our business and technology partners.

Cognos Developer Job DescriptionJob Requirements* Creative thinker with strong technical, conceptual and problem solving skills* Extensive experience with Enterprise Business Intelligence* Background in Data Warehousing and working with large data sets* Provide guidance to team members and business users in optimizing usage of Cognos tool set* Experience with Teradata FS-LDM is an asset* Experience using data modeling tools such as PowerDesigner, ERwin is an asset* Knowledge of SDLC tools, defect tracking, and source control* Exposure to agile methodologies / Scrum* Experience with Netezza an asset* Proficiency with data query programming and analysis using SQL* Knowledge of data warehousing design concepts (dimensional modeling, star-schema)* Knowledge of PCI-DSS or other industry-based information security standards is an asset
