Your tasks:
- Handling upgrades of various software components in a highly available environment
- Preparing Puppet recipes for new Server types and integrate them with homegrown infrastructure management system
- Dealing with applying and testing critical security patches, quickly and in a controlled way across a large environment
- Handling system administration tasks
- Helping non-native English speakers write good documentation
- Designing, testing and improving highly available multi-data center active/active clusters
Your qualifications
- Expert knowledge in UNIX Systems Administration
- Experience in working on large Java based websites
- Expert knowledge in working on large websites that run at least 2 other non-Java stacks
- Strong command over one more scripting language e.g. Python, Ruby or Perl
- Experience in Linux and/or Solaris system administration on a large scale
- Experience with Puppet in large, multi-datacenter implementations
- Proven communication skills
