THE JOB OPPORTUNITYSOCIAL INSIGHTS ANALYST

Freelance Contractor may be considered for full-time employment following 5 month contract completion.

McBeard is seeking a Social Insights Analyst to lead all listening, data reporting, and insights analysis for organic and paid social content on a brand-sponsored unscripted Youtube series. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years previous experience at a social or digital marketing agency and can be confident in their ability to translate daily/weekly analytics on social platforms into true insights for a social team and showrunners.You must feel at home with spreadsheets and see the story within data. You know that numbers matter. Obsessed with social and enjoy learning what truly works. Must possess ability to create visually clear presentations, combining data with content snapshots.This position will be responsible for real-time monitoring of Tumblr, Twitter, Instagram, Vine, and Snapchat behavior for the show and brand accounts and real time monitoring of the cast + influencer’s Twitter and Instagram account. All monitoring and reporting of weekly data serves the greatest purpose: Lead the creative team, executive producer, and client on best performing creative and storyline. You must be comfortable in conveying social analytics and learnings in verbal and written settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain TweetReach trackers
  • Work with client to identify valuable metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks for show
  • Work with client to develop custom reports to serve the project
  • Create and provide daily and weekly reports covering show + cast accounts + influencers
  • Create and provide post-mortem report
  • Create and provide ad-hoc sentiment + performances reports surrounding events and AT&T integrations
  • Participate in weekly calls with brand, client, executive producer, digital agency, and other vendors
  • Interpret findings to provide clear insight + next steps for production or team
  • Elevate high performing content or sentiment to team for ad promotion
  • Coach community managers on reporting for their dedicate platform(s)
  • Work with project manager and YT channel manager to report on YT view success + learning
Experience:
  • 3+ years in social analytics/reporting position(s)
  • Strong research analyst background
  • Strong math/data background
  • Strong Excel user
  • Tools: TweetReach, Crowdbooster, Hootsuite, Tumblr Analytics, Google Analytics, UnionMetrics, SimplyMeasured, Excel, Google Drive, Keynote, Dropbox
  • Bonus: Background in ad buying, community management, YT channel management, creative development, and/or using InDesign considered a plus.
