Description

Oracle Application Administrator urgently required for an initial 3 month Contract in Yorkshire. As an Oracle application administrator you will be part of the Technical Operations section of the IT Department and will provide Oracle Application Administration services, including but not limited to administering and managing multiple Oracle Fusion Middleware and Oracle E-Business Suite environments.

Location: Yorkshire
Rate: £pd (dependant on expertise)

Essential Skills:
-Experience with Installation, Configuration, Administration and Performance tuning of Oracle WebLogic Application Servers running for Oracle Service Bus/Business Activity Monitoring/Oracle SOA Suite in a clustered environment.
-Experience in code deployment, routinely measuring and reporting middleware performance.
-BPEL Process / SCA Component Deployment and related troubleshooting.
-SOA upgrade, patches and cloning concept
-Good in SOA Administration (SOA Cluster setup, Weblogic Administration, Patching, JMS config, SSO/AD authentication, SSL config).
-Must have experience managing environments using WebLogic Admin Server console, Enterprise Manager, Nodemanager and other server administration utilities.
-Must be able to monitor JVM performance through Enterprise Manager, JRockit mission control, JConsole, and other standard JVM monitoring utilities
-Experience in administering and managing Oracle E-Business Suite R12 for environment, patch, and technology stack management.
-Experience in Oracle R12 system administration.

Desirable Skills:
-Experience in SCA (BPEL, mediator), ESB technologies
-Experience in ERP system architecture design.
-Experience with PL/SQL
-Experience with Oracle Hyperion

Key Responsibilities:

-Manage and execute the set up and configuration of application servers and infrastructure.
-Perform performance tuning in accordance with best practices.
-Lead and assist in troubleshooting and fixing system, integration, and application issues.
-Troubleshoot Oracle applications issues; engage appropriate third parties and drive through to resolution.
-Responsible for ensuring the availability of formal and consistent documentation of standard operating procedures comprehensive enough to serve as instructions for less trained staff/backup.
-Adherence to and improvement of the established and documented ITIL and governance processes e.g. Incident, Change and Problem Management, ACE.

The client also requires someone with strong communication skills who is also hard working and a good team player. With the ability to make decsisons and deliver results.
