Description
Torque Digital (www.torque.digital) is looking to grow its pool of talented Chicago-area freelance designers. Work will become available on a project-by-project basis. Please respond with a link to your portfolio and your hourly rate.
- A creative designer with a strong portfolio showing print design (including logos, direct mail, brochure, packaging, brand collateral materials, etc)
- Additional portfolio work including a range of digital projects (websites, email blasts, mobile app interface, etc)
- 3+ years experience in a studio environment preferred
- Passionate about design, motivated and ambitious
- Strong concepting skills, able to brainstorm and develop conceptual ideas with minimal direction
- Typography, layout and technical skills with attention to detail
- Knowledgeable about relevant print design techniques and emerging visual trends
- Strong knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and proficient in the entire Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable collaborating with a creative team of print designers, senior designers, and creative directors to produce quality work
- Comfortable collaborating with front-end and back-end programmers
- Basic knowledge of responsive, UI/UX, mobile app, touchscreen, and interactive design techniques
- Flexible and adaptable with persistent drive to learn new skills and constantly improve
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
